Protecting Biodiversity
Biodiversity is very key to our very survival, so why and how do we protect it? In many parts of the world biodiversity (and the environment in general) are endangered due to human activity. So remember, the environment is everything to us, and its also our job to protect it. For more information visit http://www.wikihow.com/Help-Protect-Biodiversity

Learning about biodiversity
Learn all that you can about biodiversity and environmental issues. Its key to have the knowledge of how humans should live while respecting the Earth's resources, and other living things. Ways in which to do further research include visiting biodiversity websites (just like this one), going out and exploring biodiversity, and asking help from parents or teachers for further help on this subject.

Act
There are many ways that you can make a direct difference as an individual, so here sre some examples:
-
Help keep your neighborhood clean (parks are great for birds)
-
Try not to buy what you need, and remember to repair/donate
-
Plant a tree, or cultivate your backyard (make sure they're local)
-
Avoid using pesticides in family and community gardens, since they may end up in a local lake, endangering fish
-
Use composting since it reduces waste, therefore protecting biodiversity.

Share
Share your experiences with your family, friends and community members. Encourage them to work with you in helping protect biodiversity. If we get more word out there, and more people know why and how to protect, we can make a big difference. You might not covnince other people to do what's right, but you can always start with yourself.

What do you think?
We have given you three examples, and there has to be something that you would like to do to help protect our wonderful planet. You can submit in our blog comments sections or e-mail. Hopefully, we can make this world a better place to live in.
