Invasive Species
Do you know what an invasive species are? And how they effect our ecosystems? First off, invasive species are living things that were accidentally or intentionally introduced to a foreign habitat, and usually causes damage to the habitat due to the lack of natural predators. These living things are what we call pests and should be eradicated, but there still are a few exceptions. Some invasive species can actually help rather than harm because they may live in certain habitats that other species (especially endangered species) could live in. Below are two examples of invasive species, the sea lamprey and the dog-strangling vine, complete with a report and videos.

Sea Lamprey
I'm an animal that has been in the Great Lakes for nearly a century, eating huge amounts of fish and destrying ecosytems. Look at the report and video below for more information on me.

Dog-Strangling Vine
I'm a plant that has been thriving in Ontario for a very long time now. I like to over-grow forests, shrubbery, and residental property. Look at the report and video below for more information on me
